Project Description
This fun kitchen project accompanied a master bath remodel as well as a fireplace re-facing and quite a bit of additional flooring. The floor type this homeowner chose was an interesting mixed tone tile floor that convincingly mimics the look of wood, without all of the worry over damaging it. A modern style apron front sink gives a stainless steel face to the cabinetry which accents the other appliances in the area. The large center island features a bold accent color designed to casually define the individual components of the kitchen. A large overhang on the island at all sides maximizes the amount of actual prep space while the countertops behind it offers plenty of additional horizontal work surface. Everhart custom built the cabinetry for this kitchen in order to give the homeowner the flexibility of design as well as a higher quality cabinet that would last them through the years. The cabinets come with all of the features that you’d expect including a double pull out trash/ recycling bin, lazy susan corner cabinet as well as all soft close drawer glides and hidden cabinet hinges. A smart narrow decorative band runs through the backsplash tile paving the way for the mind’s eye to appreciate the real space this kitchen is working with.
